Probably the gold standard of Athens hostels. The staff (including the cleaners) were all very friendly. The beds and rooms are clean and comfortable. The toilets and showers were nice. Location is perfect. Price very reasonable. The cafe/bar in the lobby was insanely cheap. Can’t ask for more!

The property was a little differnt to any other hostel i’ve experienced. It had a more homely feel which I liked about it. I felt safe during my entire stay. The staff were extremely kind and helpful which made my stay feel very welcoming. I also loved the location being close to the metro/train lines and in the heart of Athens.

Bedbox is super place for solo or couples. Quite and very central, it has everything one needs for a short or a long stay in Athens. Strong Wifi and very friendly staff, especially Sophia who is not only friendly and attentive, but super helpful too. Just like the rest of the hostel staff I' ve come across during my 4 day stay there. I'll definitely come back here, as Athens is always magically in Autumn.

The staff were incredibly kind, supportive, and genuinely cared about helping me. They immediately tried to fix the situation and even offered thoughtful solutions. The place is also very clean. — you can tell they put effort into keeping it nice.

It’s clean and convenient . I stayed in the 4 bunk bed. I chose it as it quieter than a 6 bunk bed . But I had a snorer

It was very conveniently located and bathroom was clean and well maintained. The common areas were tidy and the staff was very kind and helpful

Staff were super nice, friendly, and helpful. Location was excellent. 6 bedded dorm was well laid out, with large individual storage lockers, padlocks supplied. Towels can be rented for €2 each. Bunks had well fitting curtains for privacy, and there were 2 areas in the dorm that had changing areas with curtains. Bed was comfortable and linen clean.

Great hostel right in the heart of Monastiraki! Excellent value for money, especially considering how expensive Athens can be. The location was perfect — within easy walking distance to all the main attractions and surrounded by plenty of delicious eateries. We stayed in a 4-bed dorm on the 5th floor and loved that it had a balcony. The beds have curtains for privacy, and there are also curtains dividing the dorm, which was a nice touch. The huge lockers, plenty of hooks, and spacious bathrooms with multiple showers and toilets made the stay really comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped, and there were lots of areas to relax. You can also store your luggage if you have a late flight or bus — super handy! Highly recommend.

My time in Athens was personally challenging – it wasn’t an easy trip for me. I know I may not have been the easiest guest at times, but never once did Sophia let that show. Unlike so many others I encountered along my journey, she didn’t just do her job, she went above and beyond, with quiet grace and unwavering kindness. Sophia whose name means “wisdom” in Greek, truly lived up to that name. She welcomed me with the warmest, most heartfelt reception I have ever experienced in all my travels. There was something deeply grounding and sincere in the way she connected, with empathy, presence, and genuine care. She made me feel not just like a guest, but like a person who mattered. Although the city itself didn’t quite resonate with me, meeting Sophia was a light in the experience, one of those rare encounters that stay with you long after the trip is over. If I ever return, it will be because of her.

In city center. 1min to Varvakios(Central Market). From Athens Train station go by metro(Larissa) to Omonia station, from there is 15min to Hostel. Big spacious lobby, big kitchen, big pans, saucepans, utensils, two microwaves, two big fridges, small kitchen bar and induction cooker. WiFi great, clean kitchen, clean room, clean WC. From hostel the famous Acropolis is 25min, ticket 10€, with combined 30€ ticket you can see more sights. It has a lift. Great Staff, always smiling.
